• 1 in 4 Unhoused Oregonians Are Over 55

Oregon’s population is aging and the demand for senior services is rising, yet critical funding and resources are being cut. Many of our senior neighbors are losing access to the supports that keep them housed, healthy, and independent.

We’re launching a new volunteer program to support our team ensuring that seniors stay safe, connected, and cared for.

Help us build a more equitable Portland that centers peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people, at every age. Join our volunteer interest list today!

In 2026, we’re launching a new volunteer program for seniors!

This new initiative will pair community volunteers with older adults receiving services through YWCA of Greater Portland to provide companionship visits and help with light everyday tasks like reading, responding to mail, or unloading groceries.

If you’re interested in being part of this exciting opportunity to help our senior neighbors, sign up below!
