Anti-Racism Practice Certification

YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism.

Through our Anti-Racism Practice Certification, we encourage learners at all levels of their social justice journey to join us in deepening understanding to better show up for our community and create a more inclusive society together.

The Certification Experience

Anti-racism work is a lifelong journey. We encourage participants at all stages of that journey to join us.

We ask that Anti-Racism Practice Certification participants come ready to:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of anti-racist language

  • Think critically about how social norms promote systems of oppression

  • Recognize common ways communities and organizations avoid meaningful anti-racism practices

  • Think critically about anti-Blackness and other oppressive tactics

  • Consider various paths to collective liberation

  • Integrate restorative practices into their individual lives and organizations

After completing the certification, we hope you will carry this work with you beyond the virtual classroom, commit to ongoing learning, and use what you’ve learned to better your community.

Our Cohort Model

YWCA's unique cohort model gives attendees the opportunity to network and build relationships with other passionate advocates over the course of the certification training.
